A straight price

The original Feral Trips promise was practical, not poetic: experienced guides, fees that match the quality of the tour, and no hidden costs on the trips in the brochure. That is the rule this site still uses.

Park and conservancy fees for the route you are shown sit inside the “from” price. International flights, visas, tips, insurance and extra drinks do not. If a gorilla permit is included, the quote says “permit included”. If it does not say that, it is not included.

Lodges and camps on these routes employ local teams. Porters at gorilla trailheads are hired by you, on the day, at the park’s posted rate — we do not fold a fictional porter into the price and keep it.

Refunds depend on how close you are to the trek date and whether a permit has already been issued in your name. Permits are often non-refundable once the park has taken them. Ask for the written terms before you send a deposit. We will not invent a percentage here that the park can overrule.
